MY holidays!
My holidays. My holidays are really magnificent. Although it is not very far away from Singapore, i think it is so fun. My family and I had a four days three nights free and easy trip to Thailand, Bangkok. First day, I reached the airport and we had a light snack. After snack, we check in and up we go on the plane. It is Thai Airway. We all rest while they serve us our lunch. Lunch was ok. My sister's meal is a kid's meal and hers is the nicest so i finished hers when she didn't want. hahas(: then, we reached bangkok airport. It's new and well furnished just like Singapore Airport. After that, we took a cab to our hotel, twin towers hotel. So cool. Check IN. and the hotel is indescribable. it is so huge, so spacious and so comfortable staying there. We went of to our first place of visit. We took a cab to the Erawan Shrine:four-faced buddha to pray before going to World Trade Centre. According to the map, we walked over. We realised that there were secondary school students selling stuff like handmade artcrafts. So we shopped there for a while, then we felt real hot, so bought a drink and went into World Trade Centre to cool ourself down and shopped for a while too. We realised that World Trade Centre's stuff are too expensive already, so we decided to go out and continued our shopping at the students' stall. After that, we had dinner. Wondered what to have for dinner, wanted to go somewhere else, but it was raining so we went to world trade centre macdonald and have dinner. The prices are cheaper compared to Singapore. After that, rain had stopped, so we looked at the map and walked over to Pantip Plaza to buy some computer software. After purchasing, we went to Pratunam Market to do midnight shopping, however, it was quite sad that there were quite alot of shops not open cause it was a friday night. However, there are still shops so we shopped for very long like 2 or 3 hours bought quite a lot of stuff and also supper. then we flagged for a cab and went back to hotel. we asked about the tour for floating market that we hope to be able to go on the third day. they said to register tomorrow so we went back to room.we ate the food: there is mango glutinous rice, and many more special food. then, we bathed and went off to bed. Second day, We woke up, washed up and went to have buffet breakfast at the hotel restaurant. of course need to pay. quite ex somemore but the food is fabulous. after that, we took a cab to chatuchak market and we shopped for like 4 to 6 hours. too much to walk. and there are really many things sold and the place is big and messy. there are many different sections selling different kind of stuff everywhere. According to the map, we walked around and bought abit of things only. Too messy, dunno how to buy. Then, we went for lunch at the restaurant. The food they sell really rawks. It is really delicious. Had fried chicken cubes, Pineapple rice, Phad Thai and mango glutinous rice again. Haha:D then, continued shopping. halfway shopping, riona fell asleep so had to carry and papa carried her and sat down at a stall drink water then tell me and mama to go shop. then, we were like so bored, sian. dun wan shop. no fun without papa. So woke meimei up and continued shopping for quite a while until like 3 or 4 plus i think. (i cant remember) I treated riona ice stick. so cool and refreshing. Then, we leave the place and went to look for skytrain. We reached the skytrain and took to MBK centre. i hate skytrains. the door close so fast de. almost knock into us so we chionged out once the door open. and i saw an old uncle while trying to squeeze in, the door close and caught him in between. luckily, he squeezed in. then, the stupid ticket door, open and close so fast, then i stand to catch my sensor, tio my sensor so the door close damn fast, caught my sister in between so i went over to catch her over-i forced open the door and carried her out. she was crying but after consoles. everything is fine. MAH BOON KRONG! I thought will have stuff to buy there. but in the end, nothing to buy there cause all quite expensive. so instead, we went to Starbucks, took a rest and drank coffee. After that we walked around and shopped for a while of course without buying anything. then, we went for dinner at the food court. must buy ticket to eat so mamapapa go buy food i play with riona first los. then pork rice come, the pork so nice, so my sister finished the whole plate of rice and much pork. After that, we didn't really buy anything except for the cute fruits-like bean paste. its really nice. look like real fruits.LOL:D then, we went back hotel by cab. then, reached hotel. and papamama booked the half day tour for floating market. so gonna to have fun tmr. reached the room.after a while, say go closest family mart buy snacks and cup noodles back to munch. So we went to buy lots of food back, i bought chips, drinks and also 2 cupnoodles. Everyone bathe and i helped cook noodles. oh ya, still have the fruits-like paste and also the mango glutinous rice. wonderful party.hahas(: Third day, we went to meet at 7am for the floating market tour without having breakfast. the van picked us up. so we have other people joining us. there are two from Australia and three from Japan. But all know english so communication quite ok. the tour includes of three places, coconut making place, floating market and the teakwood making place. Coconut making place, we went to take a look around and understand how they make coconut oil and stuff. then, went to shop abit at the visitor's place so bought an instrument. it is damn cool make a very nice sound. have to learnt fingerings though. then, floating market. we took the boat and had a great ride. it is quite long and we see alot of houses along the sides of the river. There are many people staying at the floating market and there are alot of people who earn money by selling food and handicrafts, bags at the visitors' area. there is at least one boat in each house. the water at times go into their house and it is quite dangerous cause children cannot run out or they will fall into the river. we sae buddha during the journey. we also say bungalow like houses along the side of the river. it is really nice man. they look like very well furnished houses. then, reached the floating market visitors' area. so bought fruits, food and breakfast. Riona wanted a fan cause she says it is hot. so bought for her. we ate popiah and more. after shopping, we went to look for the bus. then they brought us to the teakwood making place. they use teakwood and use tools to do drawing. 3Dimensional de. but didn't buy anything there. so ya. then they send us back to the hotel. I think the australia guy is quite nice and friendly. he was saying that we could do a duet cause he have an instument too. then, we reached the hotel and we went back to room to rest for awhile. after that, we took a cab to chinatown. we went to have lunch over there.had sharkfins and phad thai and many others. their food is real good too. especially their seafood. yumyum! then. went to shop a while but couldn't buy anything cause most of the shops were close because it was a sunday so they wanted to rest. so shopped for a while and see nothing else then went to a small shopping mall to take a look. in the end, that shopping mall is actually for young ladies to accompany man to get paid. what a wrong place to go. so went out and went to take a cab to suanlum bazzar. we went to take a rest and drank coffee at the Doidung. (i think so) the coffee very nice cause i bought chocolate cream and cheese chocolate cake. shared with riona. after drinking, we went to take some photos cause the shop looks very high-end. go toilet and start shopping. there are many shops and in a neat manner not like chatuchak. bought a lot of things and that is about the end of our shopping. shopped for 3 to 4 hours. then, it was late but we havenn't had dinner. so, went to the foodcourt there and bought loads of food to bring back hotel eat. my stomach's hungry again><> Fourth day, we had buffet brakfast.but,it's time to go home. i felt real sad. but nvm. there will always be a second chance to come back thailand. took aeroplane back to Singapore and took a cab home. NOTE: i realised something. the cabs in Thailand can scare me off. they drive real fast and they have superb driving skills. they cut lane like eat rice like that. there was also once, when the whole traffic is jammed up, then, the driver took another lane with no vehicles. then we saw vehicles coming from the other side. so scary right? i sworn. if there is really a chance, we will meet ten years later. it all accounts to fate. |
