My KL/Penang Trip
Ooosh! I am back from Malaysia yesterday. Haish. Let me talk about my trip now. First day, early morning leave for harbourfront centre. Went for breakfast at Macdonalds. Then, boarded the bus to KL. During bus journey, they provided us with glass noodles. We kinda talk and read story book of Laurel Shadrach Series. It was rocking cool wors. Reach KL, carried luggages and went to look for the right hotel. We ALMOST lost our way. Lucky, we found it soon with lots of passer-by and security guards help. We checked in to realise how big the room is. It's freaking big. But our hotel rooms were not linked, so called up the reception counter to change to a linkage room with a beautiful scenery. 2312 and 2313. Mine was 2312. Hazel's was 2313. We went for ChowKit market. Shopped for shoes den, went to the backstreet for some noodles and banmian. After so, continued shopping. We left for Chinatown by van after awhile. Shopped there but not for long. Only two row of long shops, but they walked like so fast so we didn't get to buy or see anything we like. We went for dinner at Roland Restaurant. Then we shopped for abit of supper back at hotel. Went back hotel early to bathe and play around. Then, had supper party, talked for very long and slept after that. We played pillows and bears fight in 2313. Wonderful! Second day, we went for breakfast at Crown Princess Hotel, but from my memory de variety isn't that much. We shopped at City Square, but none of the shops are open, so sadly we went to Ampang Park. We shopped there for awhile but saw nth we like so hardly bought anything. We went back to hotel to check out den brought all the heavy luggages from our hotel back to to Ampang Park. We walked around to find sth good to eat and decided on KFC. We went to KFC, ordered and ate. My mother was saying that we have 1hour and 20 min to finish the meal. But we all finished the chicken in less than 10 min. So slacked around to eat more. Washed up le read story books. We went to buy Kachang Puteh. Buy le go Corus Hotel, there got some christmas show to watch. But I continued reading storybook. Too interesting to let the book off my hand. Riona went to watch the show. Then we boarded the bus and had Subway sandwhich on board. We reached Queensbay Mall at around 8pm. We can choose to alight at Sungai Nibong Bus Terminal but the cabin crew told me that there will be difficulty getting taxi there as they having some big event there. So we alighted went toilet den took two taxis back to georgetown, Cititel Hotel. We checked in and found that the rooms are separated. 820 and 827. We took 820. WTF-.-" How can they separate us when booked at the same time? they said that they can't read Asia WedDirect de information. zzz... that's just lame excuse. We walked around Upper Penang Road after our dinner at RedGarden with ladies singing and stuff. We went back hotel to bathe and godma, hazel and charmaine went to sleep. We went to Happy Mart to buy things to eat. Ate cupnoodles and drank apple juice. Then, slept. Third day, morning call at 8am. Went for breakfast den went to Penang Hill by van. We could only take the cable train up at 2.15pm. That's way off our timing. So, we asked around and decided to go Kek Lok Si Temple to pray. There are alot of shops on the way up to Kek Lok Si Temple. So after we prayed, rested and took photos, we went shopping along the shops down the from the Kek Lok Si Temple. The temple was at the hilltop and it was abit distance from Penang Hill. But we were lucky that we asked a lady who was going to the temple too, so she brought us along with her. How great she was! We had lunch there and walked back to Penang Hill. We took the cable train up and shopped up at the hill. Looked at the wonderful scenery! It was magnificent! Watched through the binoculars. Sth bad happened. The 100 plus spilled into my bag and wet everything including my jacket and stuff. Haish! what a bad day. Then cleaned abit, and took the cable train down. The Up journey was cool and we can see how steep we are from the bottom of the hill. but the down journey was terrible. There were many people going down, and it was not controlled so we have to squeeze. the first time was okay, we still got a sit. However, we did not rush like the others the second change. So Hazel and I almost did not make it into the cable train. We were all squeezed like dunno what. When we got out, we were sweating like we just completed our 2.4km. We took two taxis to gurney plaza. At first, we wanted to go reclining buddha, but there isn't enough time so we put reclining buddha tmr instead. We reached gurney plaza to shop for awhile before getting to Gurney drive hawker centre to have dinner. We went to play the donating machine which we dunno how to. We turned the 1cent coin in many ways but can't get it turning in. Walao eh. Then, got one very kind person come put one coin in as demonstration for us i think. We all burst out into laughter. We were so retarded. We had to put it at the slot at the side. wahs. We had fun and can't stop laughing. We became a laughing stock when everybody were looking at our this family trying all means to get the coin to turn in nicely into the hole not realising that we had to put it into the side slot. We shopped and went to gurney drive hawker centre to have dinner. we queued for lots of food, den settle down to eat. Shiok seh. Not many varieties but the food is good. We bought APOM back to hotel. We pasted the mosquito sticker den went to walk along the seaside. However, the water are all dried up, leaving the shore closer to us all dry. We took taxis back to hotel. And we had cup noodles and enjoyed ourselves with the food again. Only my family though. We bathed and slept. Fourth day, morning call at 8am again. Had breakfast at Hotel. We went to reclining buddha. We walked there for goodness sake. I think it was a 10 km walk. We walked for 1 hour plus. My cousin and I asked around for directions like tour guide like that. Hehes. =) We reached there finally and prayed. Then, we went over to burmese temple to pray too. After that, we had ice cream. the thailand coconut ice cream was really good and thirst quenching. We took a taxi to Bazaar Chowrasta at Penang road. Somewhere close to our hotel. We shopped there. Then, went to have our lunch at the backstreet. the food was good. Esp. the wantan mee... The horfun, yimee, and fried rice were good too. the barley water and the coffee was fabulous. wonderful lunch. heys. then, we continued shopping at bazaar chowrasta and chinatown. We also went Prangin Mall to shop. We didn't really shop the whole of Jalan Penang road though they said we did. I can't be bothered. In the end, we went back to hotel to rest first. Our legs all ache. After 30 mins to 45 mins of rest, we decided to go batu ferringhi since jalan penang road is only opened in the morning and afternoon. We took two taxis there since there are no more van services. We dropped off and had dinner first. The food was rather good. Then, we started shopping. But i seriously dunno what they are shopping can? They are like walking so quickly from one end, to the other and back again. They didn't even stop to buy anything or even when we see sth we like. wth-.-" that's one of the lamest shopping I ever went. We took one taxi back to hotel since there are no more taxis left. so try imagining 7 people on one taxi. Godma sat at the front. Dad, mum, charmaine sat at the back with me, hazel and riona on their legs. Then, hazel and I had to use leg muscle to half stand but act like sitting or else the folks will not be able to walk later. That was already enough but there's the stupid policeman walking around directing traffic, since there was an accident. Hazel and I had to place our head on the folks leg, which means in a freaking tough position as it was illegal to have so many ppl in one vehicle. Haish. When we reached the hotel, we came out all weak from fear and pain. But the worst was we laughed like crazy ppl once we alighted. Thanks to the laughing, we all had stomachaches. Haish. What a terrific and interesting experience to have so many in one car! I will put that in my heart. As it was the last night, we went to red garden to packet loads of food back to out hotel for party. We also bought drinks. But we had to go back to hotel room to change godma pants first. haish. so changed le, went to buy alot of things. We came back hotel, ate alot. den bade goodbye, bathe and slept. the folks packed the bags while i was sleeping soundly. Hahas=D Last day, morning call at 8am. We went for breakfast at the hotel downstairs. We didn't go shopping at Jalan Penang. Instead, we went to the local products shop and the chocolate boutique. We bought loads of local products and chocolates. We had a tour round the chocolate boutique shop, and tried all kinds of chocolate. They were good. So we bought some back. At the doorsteps, we said maybe too expensive, then we tried all the chocolates in all 7 rooms and decide not to buy anything. What the heck-0- We went back to hotel. Then i reminded dat i still have sth to buy from chocolate boutique, and hazel has to buy more from local products shop. Mum did the check out transaction. Dad brought Hazel, Riona and I to buy the stuff from the shops again. After so, we got a van ride to the Queensbay Mall, de place we board our bus to Bandar Utama. We went to shop for stuff. Many things to buy now. Keychains and many more stuff. Den, we had lunch at the whitecoffee shop which serves very spicy food. so ordered 3 famous white coffee, 1 nanyang coffee, 1 mineral water and 1 mocha for hazel and i. ordered nissin noodles for riona, kaya glutinous rice, prawn mee, nasi rendang, curry me, ipoh hor fun. i had ipoh hor fun. super smooth super nice. and there's one stupid encounter with the system of popular. shall not elaborate anymore since it's so stupid. we went for fish spa. complimentary for hazel and I. as we pay 28 RM for 3 persons. It was a cool experience. It simply rocks! i will want fish spa again. :) we went to take the bus to bandar utama still with the fish biting feeling. WOOSH! I love my trip to malaysia'08. then, we took the bus from bandar utama to singapore. reached an hour earlier. during the break in between both rides, it was retarded that all shops close at 10.30pm. but we are only taking the bus at 11.15pm. so we had hot drinks provided from the aeroline office. good eh? den godma sat and we felt the impact of the whole chair falling backwards. then, she started getting racist. haish. i can't be bothered to hear the racism in words. perhaps after reading the Laurel Shadrach series, i feel that racism is no where to be beside me. so, we reached singapore at ard 3.30pm. reached home at 4am, and went to sleep till 10 plus.
